Our History
Cobra Energy Partners, LLC has attracted and retained the top talent available in the industry and assembled a team second to none with more than 25 years experience. Cobra Energy developed the original modular helium extraction plants under the name Nitrotec, with an engineering team boasting more than 30 years of experience. Our engineering and professional staff provide legal, financial, technical, and operations support. Our team is vertically aligned in the helium and natural gas marketplace with upstream well owners and downstream helium customers.
Our Team
Ken Cosentino, President — Co-founder and vice-president of Nitrotec specializing in removing nitrogen from natural gas. Identified and developed the helium extraction market and technology, which was subsequently sold to CMS.
Confidential Helium Specialist — Confidential helium buyer for the #2 gas reseller in the United States with 25-years experience in the industry as a buyer and seller with deep contacts across the globe for sourcing and disposition.
David Fravor, VP of Operations — Responsible for training oil rig and drilling platform team members on using plan-based execution on drilling and production rigs in the oil fields of North Dakota, South Texas, and the Gulf of Mexico.
Dr. Rod Lekey, General Partner — More than 25-years in project management and business development. Authored dissertation on using artificial intelligence to find wells that contain helium.
Chuck Schmidt, Chief Oil and Gas Engineer — Experience in reserve studies, NGL plant design and installation, specialty completion design and installation, waterflood studies and implementation, OSHA Hazardous Communications program preparation and implementation, tax renditions, drilling, completion, and workover supervision.
